About Kirsten
Kirsten Bailey is the owner of The Calm Dog, a dog training and behavior consulting business located in Lincoln, California. She is passionate about helping owners reach their goals with their dogs by establishing a secure and genuine bond.
Kirsten grew up on the Peninsula in the Bay Area and has been around dogs her entire life. She has a deep understanding of canine behavior and is skilled in a variety of training methods, including positive reinforcement, force-free training, and balanced training.
Kirsten is also a former international equestrian competitor and trainer. She was long-listed for the U.S. Olympic Team in 2006 and 2007. This experience has given her a unique understanding of the importance of trust and communication between animals and their handlers.
Kirsten is committed to helping dogs and their owners reach their full potential. She believes that all dogs can learn and that every dog deserves a loving and happy home.

When Kirsten isn’t helping clients with their dogs, she is training her Malinois for sport work. She will be trialing her dog, Tonic, this fall!
